Today’s Savannah Guthrie Has Wardrobe Malfunction With Her Spanx on Live TV

Savannah Guthrie isn’t interested in wearing cozy sweaters this fall season. 

In fact, she’s embracing dark leather—but with an unintentional design. While guest co-hosting Today with Jenna & Friends on Oct. 23, the anchor had a wardrobe malfunction with her pleather leggings. 

“Hold on, hot mama,” co-host Jenna Bush Hager, 43, told Savannah, who paired her bottoms with an all-black blazer and chunky heels, at the start of the episode. “You are looking very hot.” 

But before Savannah, 53, could share details about her outfit, she immediately brought attention to the hole in her pants. 

“Look, I have a big hole in my Spanx,” she said, lifting her leg to show the small slit. “Hole in my Spanx pleather.”

While Savannah—who shares kids Vale, 11, and Charles, 8, with husband Michael Feldman—didn’t share how the malfunction occurred, she playfully shrugged it off and admitted that she “had to” point it out. She also kept that same lighthearted energy backstage, when she joked that she’ll wear the pants to Bon Jovi’s upcoming tour.
