Investigation Discovery Explores Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder
EXCLUSIVE: In October 2012, Byron Griffy, a respected mortician, was found dead on his remote ranch, shot execution-style.
At first, it looked like a robbery gone wrong. But as detectives dug deeper, they discovered something darker.
This case is now being explored in The Rocky Mountain Mortician Murder, a new three-part docuseries for Investigation Discovery.
The murder of Griffy, a devoted family man, and pillar of his rural Colorado community, shocked the small town with the involvement of secret lovers, con-artists and elaborate cover-ups.
The series, which premieres on November 26, is produced by Citizen Jones, which is behind Hulu’s Blood & Myth doc as well as Netflix’s How to Become a Tyrant, How to Become a Cult Leader and How to Become a Mob Boss.
Citizen Jones was founded by Jonah Bekhor and Jonas Bell Pasht, who exec produce alongside Yoav Attias and Donnie Eichar. Kellen Hertz and Alison Shurter are co-exec producers.
