Medics responding to fatal auto-ped crash in Del Valle

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Del Valle Tuesday night, Austin-Travis County EMS said.
Around 8:35 p.m., ATCEMS responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at 3100 North FM 973.
Medics located the pedestrian and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Texas Department of Transportation said that all lanes northbound FM 973 at Platt Lane are closed.
Drivers should expect delays in the area while first responders work on the crash.
