Capture Reveals Deals On Shark Thriller ‘Above And Below’ Starring Laura Marano & Antonio Banderas — AFM

EXCLUSIVE: On the eve of the American Film Market, sales firm Capture has revealed deals on recently wrapped shark thriller Above And Below, starring Laura Marano, Christina Ochoa and Antonio Banderas.

Deals have closed for Germany, France, Italy (Wild Bunch), Spain (YouPlanet), Eastern Europe (MediaSquad), CIS (Arna), LATAM (Gussi), Scandinavia (Mislabel), South Africa (Empire), Greece (Spentzos), Portugal (NOS Lusomundo), Turkey (Mars Film), Indonesia (PT Prima), Malaysia (MVP) and Mongolia (FilmBridge).

Jesse V. Johnson (Chief of Station) directs the film in which five close friends set off on a tropical holiday to embark on a thrilling shark cage diving experience. Unbeknownst to the group, the trip is a front for a criminal operation led by the ruthless Burns (Banderas). As chaos unfolds, a deadly confrontation leaves Tatiana (Marano) and Kaley trapped in shark infested waters with dwindling oxygen. With time running out, the two must rely on every ounce of skill, to fight against the dangerous predators below and Burn’s violent crew above.

The film is produced by Spain’s AF Films and financed by AF Films and Christian Mercuri’s Capstone Pictures.

Johnson’s work as a stunt performer includes Mission Impossible III, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and 2012’s Total Recall.
