Prince William Details “Tense Issue” of Prince George, 12, Wanting a Cell Phone
Prince William is expressing his relatable parenting concern.
The Prince of Wales revealed that he and wife Kate Middleton have had plenty of conversations with their children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, about getting cell phones, admitting it’s become a sticking point with their eldest.
“Our children don’t have phones,” Prince William told Brazilian TV host Luciano Huck during a Nov. 10 interview in support of the Earthshot Prize. “I think when George moves on to secondary school, then maybe he will have a phone then that has no internet access.”
While he and Kate have remained firm on their decision, their tween son is starting to get a little frustrated.
“To be honest, it’s getting to the point where it’s becoming a little bit of a tense issue,” the 43-year-old explained. “But I think he understands why. We communicate why we don’t think it’s right.”
