Travis County commissioners sued over disaster tax rate change after floods

A Lago Vista city councilmember and a former Austin mayoral candidate filed a lawsuit against Travis County’s commissioners court on Nov. 5, arguing that it “must be stopped from making unlawful expenditures of taxes” after it approved a tax rate increase related to the July floods.
