Melissa Peterman To Host NBC’s ‘Countdown to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade’

EXCLUSIVE: Happy’s Place star Melissa Peterman will host NBC‘s Countdown to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The hour-long special, which will air the night before Thanksgiving, will also feature interviews with Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performers Colbie Caillat, Gavin DeGraw, and Jewel. 

In addition, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the famous floats and balloons that will line the streets of New York City come November 27.

The special will spotlight the Radio City Rockettes’ 100th anniversary, a LEGO float, a determined California marching band making their Parade debut and a sneak peek of a performance from EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the singing voices of HUNTR/X from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters. 

The The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of NBC’s most anticipated live events each year. Last year’s affair drew its biggest audience on record with 31.7M people tuning in across NBC and Peacock, up 11% over 2023. The event was also the top Spanish-language TV program in its timeslot on Telemundo for the third consecutive year.

Countdown to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air November 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The special will also simulcast on Peacock.
