Man gets 30 years in prison, connected with March 2023 homicide
AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced to 30 years in prison related to a March 2023 homicide that left a 27-year-old woman dead, according to Travis County court records.
Timothy Pace, who was 33 at the time of the homicide, entered a guilty plea for the murder charge. His sentence began on July 16, court records state.
In March 2023, the Austin Police Department responded to a 911 call from a woman at an east Austin apartment complex who said she was shot. That woman was later identified as Shahre-Ka Mays, according to police. Police later connected Pace to the homicide and said he shot Mays before leaving the area.
According to court records, Pace is entitled to 847 days of jail credit.
