Ozzy Osbourne’s rarely seen son Louis reflects on rocker’s funeral

Ozzy Osbourne’s rarely seen son Louis Osbourne reflected on the late rocker’s funeral.

The Black Sabbath member’s eldest son appeared on Jack Osbourne’s “Trying Not to Die” podcast on Tuesday.

The half-siblings discussed the procession through Buckinghamshire, England, which took place in July.

Ozzy, notably, had passed away one week prior at age 76 after suffering a heart attack.

Louis told listeners how blown away he was by the “volume of people” who came to mourn the Grammy winner.

“Before we turned onto the street, I just thought it was going to be like two or three people deep for like half a kilometer before where the Black Sabbath bridge was, and it would be a throng,” he recalled.

However, the turnout was “f–king insane.”

Louis was “getting goosebumps thinking about” onlookers “climbing up lampposts, hanging out of windows, standing on top of bus stops to get a look of it.”

He continued, “Once we had all got out of the cars and showed our respects, and put some flowers down and moved on again, it kept on going for another half a mile and then people were following us all around town.”

He called the moment “kind of awe-inspiring,” explaining, “I knew people loved him, but I didn’t have a sense of how many and how much.”

At the time, Louis was photographed honoring Ozzy, alongside Jack, Sharon Osbourne, Aimee Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne.

Ozzy welcomed Louis and Jessica, 53, with his ex-wife, Thelma Riley, before their 1982 split, also adopting the 71-year-old teacher’s son Elliot from a previous romance.

Elliot did not appear to be present at the funeral.

Jessica and Elliot were left out of the family statement confirming Ozzy’s death over the summer, which read, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Louis’s name was included in the singoff, and he paid additional tribute to his late father with a subtle social media move.

While the nature of Elliot’s relationship with Ozzy remains unknown, Jessica was estranged from the musician before his passing.

Jessica claimed in the 2011 “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne” documentary that her childhood was “erratic” as her father would be “away for very long periods of time.”
