Queen Camilla Visits ‘Rivals’ Set To Pay Tribute To Her Old Friend Jilly Cooper

Jilly Cooper‘s old friend the Queen visited the set of Rivals today.

Queen Camilla celebrated the cultural impact of the iconic British author as she was walked around one of Disney+‘s biggest shows to come from outside of the U.S.

The Queen and Cooper, who died in October, were long-standing friends, and the author previously said she based Rivals‘ Rupert Campbell-Black partly on the Queen’s ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles. Members of Cooper’s family were also present today, Disney said.

During today’s set visit in Bristol, the Queen met Alex Hassell, who plays Campbell Black, David Tennant, Bella Maclean, Nafessa Williams, Victoria Smurfitt and Oliver Chris. She also met members of the production team and visited the costume department.

Rivals Season 2 has been filming these past months and will launch next year.
