Bears QB Caleb Williams sparks dynamic take after win over Browns

Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears took care of home field in Week 15 NFL action, dominating Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns by a final score of 31-3.

With the win, the Bears moved to 10-4 on the season. They’re looking like a near lock to get into the playoffs. Also, they’re looking like a team who could very well compete for a Super Bowl run if they continue playing at the level they have shown recently.

In the big win, Williams played an excellent game. He completed 17 of his 28 pass attempts for 242 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. Williams also picked up 13 yards on three rushing attempts.

Throughout the season, Williams has shown signs of improvement. Unfortunately, they have not been consistent just yet. However, his performance against the Browns was a nice step in the right direction.

Following the blowout victory, Williams’ performance drew a dynamic take from one analyst.

ESPN’s Louis Riddick took to social media to share a blazing hot take about Williams. He loves what he saw from the second-year quarterback against Cleveland.

“That’s why all of the Caleb Williams haters need to sit down and be quiet,” Riddick wrote on X. “The kid is uniquely talented. He will be great. Give him time.”

Being the No. 1 overall pick comes with a lot of pressure. Having a franchise like Chicago drafting a young quarterback to come in and save the franchise adds even more pressure. Williams has handled that pressure well.

While there has been a lot of outside noise and criticism of him throughout his first couple of years, he has continued to stay focused. Each week, he seems to get more comfortable. He has the Bears playing like a legitimate championship contender.

Next up for Chicago will be a massive showdown against Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. After losing to the Packers in Week 14, bouncing back with a win at home would be a big step towards proving that the Bears do deserve to be respected as a serious contender in the NFC.

It will be interesting to see what the rest of the season has in store for Williams and the Bears.
