WWE’s Dominik Mysterio reportedly suffers injury
Dominik Mysterio has reportedly suffered a shoulder injury during the main event of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide’s “Guerra de Titanes” event in Guadalajara. The WWE Superstar was competing in a tag team match on Saturday night, teaming with El Grande Americano to take on his father, Rey Mysterio, and Rey Fenix.
Injury Sidelines Dominik Mysterio
According to a report from Bryan Alvarez, the injury occurred in the closing moments of the bout when Dominik took a DDT from his father. Alvarez noted that Dominik appeared unable to move his arm following the spot, raising concerns about a potential shoulder separation.
“Dom injured his shoulder taking the DDT from his dad near the end of tonight’s main event. Based on how he landed, my presumption is it’s likely a shoulder separation, which depending on the severity could be a short-term injury, or worst case scenario surgery. But we won’t know anything until he gets evaluated. He could barely use the arm at all,” Alvarez reported.

The injury marred what was a chaotic finish to the show. Penta, who was originally scheduled to compete but was pulled due to his own injury, played a pivotal role in the outcome. When El Grande Americano attempted to use a foreign object, Penta intercepted him, taking the weapon and using it to deliver a headbutt to Dominik inside his own mask.
Rey Fenix executed a dive to the outside to neutralize El Grande Americano. This allowed Rey Mysterio to hit the 619 on his son and secure the pinfall victory.
Following the bell, the drama continued between the members of the “Los Gringos Locos 2.0” team. A frustrated Dominik shoved El Grande Americano and walked to the backstage area alone, clutching his arm. In a surprising turn of events, a confused Americano remained in the ring and eventually shook hands with Rey Mysterio, signaling a potential face turn for the character.
The severity of Dominik’s injury is currently unknown pending a full medical evaluation. If surgery is required, it could sideline the “Judgment Day” member for a significant portion of 2026, altering WWE’s plans for the “Road to WrestleMania.”
