McDonald’s responds after “no-ICE” sign seen at Minnesota location
McDonald’s has responded after a sign reading “no ICE access in this business” was seen outside a branch in Minneapolis following the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good.
Jon Banner, McDonald’s executive vice president, posted a statement from the company on X, saying: “We’re in touch with the owner/operator of this franchised restaurant and have confirmed that this flyer was posted without approval and has since been taken down.”
Good, 37, was shot and killed by an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer during a traffic stop in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
Newsweek contacted McDonald’s for comment by email outside of normal business hours.
This is a developing story. More to follow.
