APD identifies body pulled from Lady Bird Lake

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Friday, the Austin Police Department identified the woman who was pulled from Lady Bird Lake following a water rescue Thursday.
The person was identified as 49-year-old Jennifer Lynn Atkinson, according to police.
On Thursday morning, police responded to a welfare check call after a body was seen facedown in the water near the 90 block of Congress Avenue.
The incident was treated as a death investigation with no foul play suspected.
