‘Hoppers’ Streaming Premiere Date: When Film Hits Disney+

After breaking out as one of Disney/Pixar‘s best received titles in recent memory, both with critics and at the box office, the animated Hoppers has been set to begin streaming on Disney+ on June 3.

Directed by Daniel Chong, Hoppers is an adventure comedy following animal lover Mabel (Piper Curda) as she uses a groundbreaking technology to “hop” her consciousness into a lifelike robotic beaver, uncovering a hidden animal world shaped by its own rules. Alongside charismatic beaver King George (Bobby Moynihan) and an unforgettable community of local wildlife, Mabel embarks on an action-packed mission that invites audiences to experience nature like never before.

Released March 6, the film has been cited as Pixar’s most critically acclaimed original in over a decade and one of its strongest non-sequel performers at the box office. The film opened to over $45M domestically, in the best opening weekend for a Pixar original since 2017’s Coco, and ultimately grossed over $371M worldwide.

Hoppers‘ cast also includes Jon Hamm, Kathy Najimy, Dave Franco, Meryl Streep, Eduardo Franco, Aparna Nancherla, Sam Richardson, Melissa Villaseñor, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Ego Nwodim, Nichole Sakura, Steve Purcell, Vanessa Bayer, and Demetri Martin.

Nicole Paradis Grindle produced the film, written by Jesse Andrews.

2026 is poised to be a big year for Pixar, which releases Toy Story 5 — a title expected to be one of the year’s top financial performers — on June 19.
