Jen Kober’s ‘Uber Famous’ Special Sets Release Date (EXCLUSIVE)
EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Jen Kober is set to release her first full-length special, Uber Famous, with Comedy Dynamics on June 2.
The special, filmed in Kober’s hometown of Lake Charles, Louisiana, finds her at her most honest and joyful — sharing stories about family, identity, unexpected fame, and the beautifully messy road to self-acceptance.
Jen Kober: Uber Famous is directed by Jeff DeRouen and produced by Super Nice Guys. Exec producers include Justin Silvera, Barbara Meyer, Jack Vaughn and Jay Siegan.
Kober is a rotating headlining comedian for Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas show Mad Apple and a recipient of NPR’s Best Comedic Performance award on Snap Judgment.
“This special means everything to me,” she told Deadline. “Not just because it’s my first full hour, but because it was created by people who know me and love me. We made this thing with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of Louisiana soul.”
