Does ‘Tracker’ return tonight? ‘Tracker’ Season 4 premiere date info and more
Another Sunday spent wondering when CBS’ hit drama Tracker will be back-er.
When we last left Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), he and his brother Russell (Jensen Ackles) successfully saved two kids from the government’s top-secret Chrono Stasis program that their father was involved with. But while Colter seemingly got closure on his dad’s mysterious life and death, Russell made a dangerous deal with McIntyre (Glenn Morshower) to prevent more troubling information about their dad from reaching his brother.
After Russell left town to follow McIntyre’s orders, Colter (Justin Hartley) reunited with his pal Keaton (Brent Sexton). So what adventures await Colter and team in California? What dangers await Russell? And did Tracker finally open the door for a Jensen Ackles spin-off? We need answers! But will we get them?!
Is a new episode of Tracker on tonight, June 7? Will there be a Tracker Season 4? And if so, when does Tracker Season 4 premiere on CBS? Great questions! Here’s everything we know about the future of Tracker, including premiere date info and more.
Is Tracker on Tonight (June 7)?
Hoping to watch a new episode of Tracker tonight, June 7, 2026? Sadly, you’re out of luck. Tracker is on hiatus after its Season 3 finale premiered on May 24, 2026. If you tune into CBS on Sunday, June 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET you can watch The 79th Annual Tony Awards instead.
Will There Be A Tracker Season 4?
Good news, Tracker fans! In case you missed it, Tracker got an early Season 4 renewal back in January, which makes sense, considering the network still celebrates it as the “No. 1 show on broadcast television.” Read on for premiere date info…
When Will Tracker Return With New Episode? Tracker Season 4 Premiere Date:
While an official Season 4 release date has yet to be announced, on April 15, 2026, CBS announced its 2026-2027 fall primetime schedule and confirmed that Tracker will return Sundays at 9:00 p.m. ET in the fall. Stay tuned for more updates, but if Tracker‘s last two seasons are any indication, we could be getting new episodes in October.
Looking for a detailed Tracker Season 3 finale recap? Decider’s got you covered. But the major takeaways you need heading into Season 4 are that Russell made a deal to work for McIntyre in exchange for his eventual freedom and Ashton’s file, which contains some damning info related to Colter. Before Russell headed off on his secret assignment, he called Reenie and begged her to cover for him when Colter inevitably started questioning his whereabouts. She agreed, and he left without saying goodbye to his brother, all to protect him. But we have high hopes that Season 4 will check back in with the Shaw brother.
Meanwhile, Colter ended the season at a home base of sorts. He walked into a furnished garage, grabed a beer out of the fridge, and watched his pal Keaton (Brent Sexton) roll up hauling Ashton’s old truck from Echo Ridge. Colter told Keaton that the off-grid location was “a long story,” but called it “home, sort of.” Keaton agreed to help Colter fix up his dad’s old truck, and though Colter said he didn’t get all the answers he wanted, he learned his dad “was a good man in the end.” After noting how bad his dad was at fixing cars, Tracker Season 3 closed with Colter sitting in the truck and saying, “I’ll get you up and running again.”
Tracker Season 4 will presumably follow the professional tracker and survivalist on more investigations, and Tracker is relocating to Los Angeles film, so we can’t wait to see what sunny West Coast adventures await!
