Michael Bisping under fire for heated comments about Alex Pereira

In the five days since his UFC Freedom 250 loss to Cyril Gane for the interim UFC heavyweight championship, Alex Pereira has done several interviews in which he voiced his frustration over how his bout ended.

Gane won via second-round TKO, but Pereira has protested the bout shouldn’t have ended that way because the fight-ending strikes that finished Pereira came about after he absorbed several illegal elbows to the side and back of the head.

Many agree with Pereira that Gane, who has a lengthy track record of landing illegal shots in several of his previous fights, should have either been disqualified or at least had a point deducted for the illegal strikes.

However, one former fighter disagrees. In fact, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes Pereira should stop complaining, take his loss, and move on.

“Listen, he lost the fight,” Bisping stated. “There is no shame in that, whatsoever. Sitting there complaining and crying about going on about how he was fouled, it’s just not a good look.”

Some do agree with Bisping, however, there’s a large contingency of UFC fans who took to social media to take shots at the Brit for criticizing Pereira when he was known to do the same during his fighting career.

“The [expletive] AUDACITY of Bisping is absolutely mental 🤣. Bisping was constantly moaning about Belfort being on TRT against him (completely fair btw) Yet, when Alex moans that Gane CHEATED. He’s simply got to move on 🤣 [expletive] joke,” one fan scoffed.

“Same guy that cried forever about TRT Vitor. Quite hypocritical,” another fan sneered.

“Bisping will say ANYTHING to protect his measly UFC wage,” a third fan noted.

“Dude, Bisping has become insufferable with his Aspinall and Pereira criticisms. Dude should be the first one to advocate for fair play in fighting. WTF. Pereira got illegal shots in the back of the [expletive] head,” one user remarked.

“Meanwhile @bisping brings up the steroid users every chance he can get and still cries about it…. I used to be sympathetic to him but not anymore,” another user stated.

“This is why Ciryl Gane continues to cheat and Herb Dean ref with no consequences. Idiots like [Bisping],” replied one fan.
