Trinity Rodman draws attention with Mariners first pitch after USMNT win
Trinity Rodman made a strong round of appearances on Friday, capturing fans’ attention as she showed up for two major sports events within a mile of one another.
The 24-year-old Rodman, daughter of NBA great Dennis Rodman, first appeared at the United States Men’s National Team’s second Group D match against Australia.
She delivered the official match ball onto the pitch at the start of the matchup, ahead of a USMNT 2-0 win, behind an own goal from Australia and a header from Alex Freeman, which moved the co-host country into the knockout stage of the World Cup.
Rodman witnessed the thrilling win at Seattle‘s Lumen Field with several other celebrity fans, including former Seahawks Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson and his wife, singer Ciara.

Her famous rebound-collecting father had history in Seattle, starring alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen on a Bulls team that claimed the NBA championship over the former Super Sonics back in 1996.
Her day didn’t conclude with her World Cup match appearance, as she later made the short trip from Lumen Field over to T-Mobile Park, home of MLB’s Seattle Mariners.
Rodman, decked out in camouflage pants and a custom Mariners jersey, didn’t disappoint, delivering the first pitch right across the plate.
“So proud to have you represent us on the world stage for the U.S. Women’s National Team,” the announcer said as Rodman posed with the Mariners’ Julio Rodriguez.
Unfortunately, Seattle went on to lose their baseball game, 6-2 to the visiting Boston Red Sox.
Commenters reacted to seeing Rodman bring out the World Cup match ball and throw out the first pitch, with various comments on viral X posts on Friday.
“Trinity Rodman carrying the ball like her dad carried rebounds…,” one X commenter noted.
Another commenter said, “This is why the USMNT is up 2-0 and you can’t tell me otherwise.”
“I respect her making a name for herself despite Dennis being her crazy [expletive] dad,” someone commented.
“Did anyone check on the speed or movement of the pitch? M’s could use a quality leverage arm out of the bullpen,” someone wrote regarding her Mariners appearance.
“Same day, two sports, zero misses. Trinity Rodman is built different,” another commenter said.
It was a big day for Trinity Rodman, who continues to shine away from her famous father’s shadow. She’s estranged and reportedly has a complicated relationship with him, but is very close with her mother, Michelle Moyer.
She debuted with the USWNT at the 2023 World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. The USWNT’s next appearance will occur at the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.
When not playing for the USWNT, Rodman plays for the NWSL’s Washington Spirit. She’s been troubled by chronic back spasms. Last month, concerns arose about her ankle when she was subbed out of her team’s game against the Seattle Reign, but Rodman has since appeared to be alright after the concern.
