‘Breslau’ Season 2 Is Coming To Disney+ Along With Two Other Shows
Disney+ is going big in Poland, renewing Breslau for a second season and ordering two more shows.
Deadline revealed back in 2024 that the streamer had greenlit Breslau, its first show from Poland. After an unexpected release from prison, the second season continues to follow Franz Podolsky, who is reluctantly dragged into an investigation of a murdered woman that appears to be connected to a case he failed to solve years ago. The show stars Tomasz Schuchardt, Adam Bobik, Agata Kulesza, Ireneusz Czop and Przemysław Bluszcz.
Disney+ Poland has also ordered comedy-drama Everything Under Control (working title), which centers on a young woman who aims to become a slightly better version of herself, when an unexpected event brings her self-improvement plan to life. There is also The Game, a thriller produced by Aurum Film, spotlighting an exciting adventure that turns into a fight for survival when a group of strangers face an unexpected danger in the middle of a forest.
Angela Jain, Head of Content, Disney+ EMEA, said: “We strongly believe in the Polish market, and the opportunity for local content to play a significant role. These newly commissioned titles will perfectly complement our global offering, while meeting local audience demand. It’s inspiring to be working with an incredible lineup of Polish creative talent, who are widely recognised within the industry for cinematographic creativity and excellence.”
Disney+ has been splashing the EMEA cash of late, with Jain handed an increased budget. In Poland, its rival Netflix has been building in the region for years, premiering its biggest show in Poland to date, survival thriller Heweliusz, last year.
