Flood memorials join 4th of July events in Kerr County this year

“We’re acknowledging this complicated weekend that for now us in the Hill Country two truths coexist,” said Karen Clint of Unity of the Hill Country church. “One is, of course celebrating the independence of this country on its 250th birthday. The other is now a day of remembrance for us Hill Country residents who were here during the flood and lost a loved one, a pet, our wildlife.”
