I tried Amazon’s #1 best-selling bathtub mat. Here’s my honest review

A few weeks ago, I slipped and twisted my ankle in the shower.

The incident was a wake-up call: If I no longer wanted to slide on my soapy floor, some non-slip product was needed.

Enter the Gorilla Grip Patented Bath Tub Shower Mat. It’s an Amazon best-seller, which instantly gained my trust, so I decided to order one for myself.

Upon arrival, I unraveled the mat and was amazed by its hundreds of suction cups, which stuck easily to the tub floor. The ribbed texture almost felt like a massage on my feet — I didn’t want to ever stop standing.

Admittedly, I was worried water would get stuck under the mat and get moldy. I’ve been using it for a few days now, and so far, it looks good as new. It features several drainage holes so that water flows underneath it and toward the shower drain.

I was very happy to find out that the product is machine washable as well — which comes in clutch in case my purple shampoo accidentally stains it.

The mat measures 35 by 16 inches, much longer than most bath mats on the market, so it takes up my entire tub.

I’m not the only one who’s a fan. The product features over 111,000 ratings on Amazon, and nearly 75% of those are five-star reviews.

“I love this bath mat. It’s very long so there’s little chance of slipping. It is good quality & sticks well to the tub,” one person wrote.

Another agreed: “I’m very picky when it comes to bath mats and shower liners, but this one is honestly a 10/10 for me. What I love most is how many suction cups it has because this thing does not move or slip around at all. It stays securely in place and feels really soft and comfortable under my feet.”
