TIFF: The Market Sets Inaugural Innovation Hub Lineup

TIFF: The Market, the Toronto Film Festival’s new official marketplace, has set eight projects that will participate in the event’s inaugural Innovation Hub for XR, VR, and Mixed Reality films.

The list of projects features several World, North American, and Canadian premieres of immersive experiences from Canada, France, Denmark, the United States, Germany, Belgium, Taiwan, Greenland, and the Netherlands.

The projects were selected by a nine-member committee. Charles Tremblay, Head of TIFF: The Market, said in a statement that the Innovation Hub “reflects where our industry is headed, bringing together visionary creators, breakthrough technologies, and new approaches to storytelling that are redefining how content is developed, produced, and experienced.”

He continued: “For buyers, it’s a prime opportunity to discover pioneering projects that transcend formats and borders and deliver the high entertainment value audiences are seeking.”

The Innovation Hub will be located on the 200-level of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and will be accessible to registered delegates throughout the seven-day Market.

See the full list of selected projects below.

TIFF: The Market will run from September 10-16.
