Brooks Laich Marries Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir Near Idaho Lake Where He Wed Julianne Hough
Brooks Laich has found his forever teammate in Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir.
The former NHL star married the CrossFit champion in front of 110 guests at their lakeside home near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Aug. 15.
“It was a dream come true for both of us,” Laich said of the wedding in a People interview published Aug. 18, with his bride sharing how they knew the ceremony would take place at their house “from the start.”
“We knew we wanted to get married here, just welcome everybody here,” continued Davíðsdóttir, who shares 10-month-old daughter Emberly with Laich. “I was like, ‘We just want to be on an adventure. Whatever happens, happens. And if it doesn’t go according to perfect plan, that’s OK.'”
Indeed, the couple of over five years were very laid back during their wedding weekend. Though entire affair felt “very much like a destination wedding” with family arriving from out of town, Laich, 43, and Davíðsdóttir, 33, made sure guests felt relaxed by kicking off the three-day celebration with a dinner at Elk Point.
