Ariana Grande Slams Trump For Using Her Song In Anti-Trans TikTok

As Ariana Grande winds down her Eternal Sunshine Tour, she’s the latest pop icon to call out Trump for using her music.

On Thursday, the Grammy winner commented on a TikTok video posted by the Trump campaign, which used Grande’s 2024 single “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” to promote anti-trans views. Deadline can confirm Grande’s label is working to get the song taken out of the clip.

“Never use my music again,” wrote Grande in the comments. “Also, your truth is false.”

The clip showed Trump walking on stage at a rally, with captions that began by quoting the song’s lyrics, “Me and my truth we sit in silence…”

It continued, “Men can’t have babies and should never compete in sports.”

Grande’s comment comes after she called out the White House in June for using her song “Bye” in a pro-ICE video.

The Petal artist is the latest to call out the Trump administration and take action over unauthorized use of her music on social media, after the likes of Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, Katy Perry, Kesha, Radiohead, Noah Kahan, Jess Glynne, Kenny Loggins and more have also hit back.
