Stray Kids Give Fans Heartwarming Surprise With ‘After You’ Music Video from ‘THIS & THAT’ [WATCH]
Stray Kids have added another emotional layer to their latest musical era with the release of the music video for “After You”, a warm and reflective track from their mini album THIS & THAT.
Released on Friday, Aug. 21, the music video premiered exclusively on Spotify, giving fans a new way to experience one of the album’s more sentimental tracks. The song had previously been introduced through the group’s signature “UNVEIL: TRACK” content ahead of the album’s Aug. 7 release.
Rather than relying on a single storyline, the video unfolds as an omnibus-style collection of moments, following the members through familiar settings and everyday encounters.
Finding Comfort in Unexpected Connections
The members are shown in locations including streets, bus stops, swimming pools, pubs and recording studios as they cross paths with different people.
One particularly touching sequence features a warm interaction with a child during a busking scene. Across the video, small exchanges and shared smiles gradually transform moments of sadness and tension into feelings of comfort and renewed energy.
The visual mirrors the message at the heart of “After You,” which means that meaningful encounters with different people can help us heal and find strength when life becomes difficult.
The song’s gentle mood carries throughout the video, while its increasingly powerful sound and chorus underscore the emotional journeys unfolding on screen. Stray Kids’ natural performances and the relaxed summer-inspired visuals further reinforce the uplifting tone.
3RACHA Continues Stray Kids’ Self-Produced Legacy
“After You” also reflects the group’s long-standing involvement in their own music.
The track was created with the participation of 3RACHA, Stray Kids’ in-house production unit consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin and Han. Their continued involvement reinforces the group’s identity as self-producing artists, a reputation they have built since their debut in 2018.
With its intimate storytelling and softer atmosphere, the track offers a different emotional color from some of the group’s more performance-driven releases.
The new video arrives as Stray Kids continue to make waves internationally with THIS & THAT.
The August 7 release debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated August 22, extending the group’s remarkable streak to nine consecutive chart-topping albums since ODDINARY in 2022.
The title track, “This & That,” also delivered a new personal best for the group after entering the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 38.
Stray Kids Prepare for Another Busy Global Run
The group shows no signs of slowing down following the release of “After You”.
Stray Kids are set to continue their RUN IT world tour with solo concerts at Tokyo’s National Stadium on August 29 and 30. They are also scheduled to headline Rock in Rio in Brazil in September.
Beyond the festival appearance, the group will launch its new Latin American festival series, “STRAYCITY”, across three regions, extending their global activities even further.
With “After You” now giving fans an emotional visual to accompany the THIS & THAT era, Stray Kids are continuing to balance their high-energy performances with a more intimate side of their artistry.
