Model Tess Holliday Claps Back at Haters Over Bikini Photo on Yacht

“I’m too busy living my life, loving myself, raising my kids, working, laughing, creating, and actually being happy,” the model—mom to sons Rylee, 20, and Bowie, 10—continued. “Maybe if some of you spent a little less time obsessing over the size of my body and a little more time tending to your own lives, you’d be happier too.”

Plus, Holliday believes she doesn’t owe the world any defense or explanation about her personal life.

“In the beginning I used to say, ‘I’m healthy, my cholesterol’s fine, I don’t have high blood pressure, I don’t have diabetes,’” she told Self in 2018. “By telling people that you see a doctor, and telling people that you’re healthy, it’s perpetuating the abuse against bigger bodies and the mindset that we owe it to people to be healthy.”

As Holliday sees it, “The reality is I don’t owe you s–t and I don’t have to prove that I’m healthy or not, because it is nobody’s business.”
