Julius Onah Signs With Blue Marble Management
Filmmaker Julius Onah has signed with Theresa Kang’s Blue Marble Management for representation across film, television, and all media.
Onah is currently in post-production on Samo Lives, a biopic centered on Jean-Michel Basquiat for Neon produced by Fifth Season, Macro and Neon. The film stars Kelvin Harrison Jr, Antony Starr, Jeffrey Wright, Chase Sui Wonders, Danny Ramirez and Dane DeHaan among others.
Onah directed Captain America: Brave New World for Marvel starring Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford, Giancarlo Esposito and Sebastian Stan which grossed $415 million worldwide. Prior to that, Julius directed The Cloverfield Paradox for Netflix, Paramount and Bad Robot.
He also directed Luce, which starred Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer, Tim Roth and Kelvin Harrison Jr, and premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews. For his work on on the movie, Julius was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Director, and the film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance. The film was acquired and distributed by Neon
Onah’s debut film The Girld In Trouble, which he made during his graduate studies at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, was executive produced by Spike Lee.
He joins Blue Marble Management’s roster that includes Oscar winners Alfonso Cuarón, Chris Terrio, Simon Beaufoy and Golden Globe nominee Gillian Flynn among other notables.
