Christian McCartney Among 6 Cast In Sports Comedy Feature ‘Defensive’
EXCLUSIVE: Christian McCartney will reunite with Twinbolt Media as the lead of the feature film Defensive, starring opposite Mark Christopher Lawrence (Chuck), Robert Amaya (Courageous), Chris Petrovski (The Boy in the Iron Box), Camila Camilo (Killing Kin), and Evan Huffed (Let’s Murder Like It’s 1999!). In addition to acting, McCartney will also make his screenwriting debut on Defensive.
The mystery comedy feature Defensive follows Clarence (McCartney), an overly aggressive basketball fanatic who assembles an unlikely team of amateur detectives to stop a corrupt businessman from destroying their beloved community center. As the investigation spirals into increasingly absurd territory, Clarence must confront the childhood wound that’s kept him from ever saying, “I’m sorry.”
McCartney previously worked with producers Twinbolt Media on the indie faith-based drama feature Just One More from the company’s founders and filmmakers Kaleb and Kyler Cook and Angel Studios. Kyler Cook will serve as the director of Defensive.

It’s outrageous, heartfelt, and ultimately about learning to be humble. We think audiences are going to laugh hard while finding something surprisingly meaningful at its core.”
Principal photography begins this month in Pennsylvania.
