Jinger Duggar Tearfully Shares Experience With Postpartum Depression After Welcoming Baby No. 2

Jinger Duggar is detailing a difficult chapter in her motherhood journey.

The Counting On alum, mom to kids Felicity, 8, Evangeline, 6, and Finnegan, 17 months, with husband Jeremy Vuolo, shared her experience with postpartum depression after welcoming their second baby in 2020.

“I remember after having Evie, I had postpartum depression,” Jinger told her sister Joy-Anna Duggar on the Sept. 2 episode of Jinger and Jeremy’s The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast. “It was a little bit later than I expected, too, but I was still nursing her, but I was so down. I could not figure out up from down, couldn’t clean my house, couldn’t get up much.”

But it was her support system who held her up during the challenging period.

“I thank the Lord I had friends who realized what was happening and they told me, ‘You need to get help,’” she recalled. “So, that was really good, but there have been so many seasons and trials that I did not expect.”

But for Jinger—who is the sixth oldest of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar’s 19 kids—faith has “carried” her through the most unpredictable circumstances.
