Louis Partridge & Anson Boon Set For Coming-Of-Age Film ‘Andy & Orson’

EXCLUSIVE: Louis Partridge (Enola Holmes) and Anson Boon (MobLand) are set to star in Andy & Orson, the feature directorial debut of writer-directors Nathan Newman and Arnold T. Rice.

MetFilm Sales is launching the project for worldwide sales ahead of the TIFF market with filming due to take place in the U.K. in early Q4, 2026.

Brit actors Partridge and Boon will play the titular Andy and Orson, respectively, “two mismatched housemates whose friendship is tested over the course of a year as they navigate first heartbreaks, shifting ambitions and the messy realities of life in their twenties.”

Set between South-East London and the British countryside, the film is described as “a contemporary story of friendship, love and growing up in the 2020s”.

The film is produced by Jamie Clark and Aleksandra Bilić for My Accomplice, Dorottya Székely for Varga Pictures, and Carley Armstrong for True Moon Pictures. Executive producers are Newman and T. Rice through Tidewayout, Louis Partridge and Anson Boon, as well as Leopold Hughes (Knives Out).

The movie is fully financed via the production companies and private investors and was developed by My Accomplice.

Nathan Newman is the author of How to Leave the House, which was named a New Yorker Best Book of the Year, and which they later adapted for TV. Their second novel will be published next year. Arnold T. Rice is a social worker and independent filmmaker who frequently collaborates with UK comedians on viral sketches and stand-up specials.

‘’Andy & Orson is about the highs and lows of being 20-somethings in the 2020s, written very deliberately throughout our own twenties in order to capture the shifts in ourselves and the decade. Like all great odd couples, we hope audiences see parts of themselves in both Andy and Orson when they hangout with them in theatres very soon,’’ said Newman and T. Rice.

‘’Andy & Orson spoke to us in the rich tradition of odd couple, slacker films such as Clerks and Withnail and I. There is such a sharp contemporary edge to the script from Nathan and Arnold that will really connect with this generation of film fans. It’s testament to the script that we have talent such as Louis and Anson on board as leads,’’ added Jamie Clark, producer.

Casting is currently underway for additional roles with the search led by casting director Claire Curry. Emmy-nominated cinematographer, Bart Sienkiewicz, is attached, along with costume designer Giulia Scrimieri, production designer Isabel Pirillo and hair and makeup designer Ziggy Gaji.

Louis Partridge is represented by Independent Talent Group and WME. Anson Boon is represented by Independent Talent Group and CAA.
