Andrew Tate indicted for trafficking minors in Romania

Andrew Tate has been indicted for various crimes including trafficking minors, money laundering, and sexual offences in Romania, according to reports.

Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism outlined the alleged offenses on Friday, which include the alleged exploitation of a minor who was moved to the British town of Luton for the purpose of sexual exploitation and pornography.

Tristan Tate–Andrew Tate’s brother–was also indicted for allegedly seeking to pervert the course of justice and complicity.

Romanian authorities did not name the Tate brothers in their statement, but said it was part of an investigation into two British men of the same family aged 39 and 38. The Tate brothers were identified as the indicted individuals in local press, including Romania’s national news agency Agerpres.

“We ​will examine every aspect of (the indictment) with the same level of scrutiny and we will challenge any evidential, procedural or legal ​deficiencies through the appropriate judicial process,” a Romanian lawyer for the Tates, Eugen Vidineac, said in a statement, according to Reuters.

The Tate Brothers have previously denied wrongdoing in relation to legal proceedings in the U.K. and Romania.
