Where Is Patrick Clancy Now? Husband of Lindsay Clancy Spotted With New Wife Rachel Danis
Patrick Clancy has been spotted walking hand-in-hand with his new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, in New York City as his former wife Lindsay Clancy’s closely watched murder trial reached its latest and most consequential turning point.
The couple was photographed together in Manhattan on Sept. 2, two days before a judge declared a mistrial in Lindsay’s case after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict over the killings of the couple’s three children.
It’s been more than three years since the deaths of Cora, Dawson and Callan in January 2023.
He has since left Massachusetts, divorced Lindsay, remarried and devoted part of his life to advocating for better perinatal mental health care.
Patrick Clancy moved to New York and remarried
Patrick moved to New York City only months after the deaths of his children, and later filed for divorce from Lindsay in February 2024, according to reporting based on public records and people familiar with the couple.
He subsequently began dating Danis.
Danis, a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist, moved into Patrick’s Upper East Side apartment in 2025, according to PEOPLE.
The couple married in April 2026 in a small Central Park ceremony attended by family and close friends.
Danis is also a physician affiliated with Mount Sinai, where she is listed as a reproductive endocrinologist. The couple has largely kept their relationship private.
Patrick focused on remembering his three children
Patrick co-founded the Heard Foundation with his sisters in 2024. The organization was established in memory of the three children and focuses on improving care for parents experiencing perinatal mental health problems.
Patrick also helped with a memorial playground project in Duxbury in 2025 to preserve his children’s legacy while supporting the community where they grew up.
His response to the tragedy has also remained notable because of what he said about Lindsay immediately afterward.
In a statement shared through a GoFundMe campaign, Patrick asked people to forgive her, writing, “The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone.” He also said, “All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”
Patrick testified during Lindsay Clancy’s trial
Patrick returned to the center of the case in July 2026 when he testified against the backdrop of Lindsay’s defense that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis and was not criminally responsible for the killings.
During his testimony, he described his children individually, remembering Cora as a child who loved princesses, Dawson as a fan of firefighters, trucks and Paw Patrol, and Callan as “just a happy baby.”
Lindsay did not dispute that she killed the children but pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Prosecutors argued that she understood what she was doing, while the defense maintained that severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric treatment failures had left her unable to appreciate the wrongfulness of her actions.
Update in the Lindsay Clancy Case
The trial ended without a verdict on Sept. 4. After seven days of deliberations, the jury remained deadlocked, prompting Judge William Sullivan to declare a mistrial.
The outcome does not resolve Lindsay’s criminal case. Prosecutors must now decide whether to pursue another trial, while the defense could seek other legal options.
Lindsay remains in custody as the case moves into its next phase.
