BTS V and Jimin Face Fresh Acid Threats Ahead of Brazil Concert; Fans Demand Stronger Security [CHECK OUT]

BTS members V, aka Kim Taehyung, and Jimin are facing fresh safety concerns after disturbing threats allegedly targeting the singers surfaced online ahead of the group’s upcoming Brazil concerts.

The alleged threats appeared on X as BTS prepares to bring its highly anticipated ARIRANG World Tour to São Paulo, Brazil. The group is scheduled to perform on Oct. 28, 30 and 31 at Estádio do MorumBIS, making security a growing concern among fans following a series of recent incidents at BTS concerts.

One X account allegedly claimed to have purchased a ticket specifically with the intention of throwing acid at V during the concert. The post quickly circulated among ARMY, prompting fans to call on HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC to investigate the account, assess the credibility of the threat and take additional precautions before the shows.

The disturbing post was reportedly shared by an X account using the handle @ggukstar97, with the display name “mila” and a BTS-related profile picture. Written in Spanish, the post stated, “yo pague la entrada para ir a tirarle acido a taehyung que me importa jungkook,” which translates to, “I paid for the ticket to go throw acid at Taehyung, I don’t care about Jungkook.”

The allegation has understandably alarmed fans, particularly because the post appeared to reference a specific concert ticket and an alleged plan to target V.

Jimin Also Allegedly Targeted

Concerns grew further after another X account appeared to post a similar threat involving Jimin.

An account using the handle @Thvkookier97 and the display name “Taekookforever” reportedly wrote in Portuguese that they were attending the BTS concert “just to take acid and throw it at Jimin.”

The posts have since been circulated among fans, leading to renewed calls for the group’s management, concert organizers and relevant authorities to take the allegations seriously. Fans have emphasized that even if the posts ultimately prove to be empty threats, they believe they should not be dismissed without investigation.

One fan highlighted the potential danger to both the artists and the audience, writing, “Both Taehyung and Jimin are getting serious threats, some people threatened to throw acid at them during the concert in Brazil. It is dangerous for the members and it is dangerous for the fans who will be there,” while tagging HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC and urging them to respond.

Another person called on public safety authorities, X, BTS’ management and event organizers to investigate the accounts allegedly responsible for the posts. The fan also urged organizers to consider stronger security measures at the venues, including stricter screening procedures and limitations on liquids and other objects that could potentially be brought inside.

A third fan stressed that the allegations should not simply be ignored, writing, “Real or not, this is not something we should simply ignore,” while calling for Taehyung’s safety to be taken seriously and for measures to prevent people from throwing objects toward the members during the performances.

Recent Concert Incidents Raise More Questions

The latest online threats come at a time when BTS fans are already increasingly concerned about concert security following several unsettling incidents involving members and audience members.

During BTS’ recent show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Jimin was reportedly struck in the back by a phone thrown from the crowd. The incident generated significant anger among fans, many of whom questioned why an object was able to reach the stage and potentially injure a performer.

The situation became even more concerning just one day later when Jin reportedly experienced another uncomfortable moment during the performance. While performing Fake Love, Jin was allegedly sprayed with a water gun by someone in the audience.

Fan-recorded footage appeared to show Jin signaling for the person to stop. Security was reportedly called, and the individual was subsequently escorted from the venue.

Although the incidents differed in nature, they sparked a broader conversation among ARMY about the responsibility of concertgoers and the need for effective security procedures. For V, the latest alleged threat is particularly troubling because it is not the first time fans have raised concerns about threats directed at the BTS star.

Earlier this year, screenshots and social media posts allegedly containing threats to harm Taehyung with acid circulated online, prompting alarm among ARMY.

In January, fans reportedly used HYBE’s reporting channels to flag an X account accused of making threats against V ahead of BTS’ Mexico concerts. The allegations prompted fans to urge the agency to take steps to ensure the singer’s safety.

Similar concerns resurfaced in February when alleged messages targeting V circulated during BTS’ stay in Lisbon. Once again, fans called on BIGHIT MUSIC, HYBE and local authorities to investigate the claims and take appropriate precautions.

Those incidents were not reported as confirmed physical attacks, but the circulation of the alleged threats was enough to cause widespread concern among fans. The recurring nature of the allegations has now made security a particularly sensitive issue as BTS prepares for its Brazil performances.
