Cowboys fans roast rookie Caleb Downs over odd airplane carry-on
The Dallas Cowboys must really like Chick-fil-A.
Caleb Downs, the rookie first-round pick who is expected to be one of the key cogs in their defense, was seen carrying a large bag of chicken sandwiches and two gallons of lemonade onto the team plane prior to the club’s matchup with the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.
It’s probably safe to say the drive-thru run was part of his rookie duties…
The Cowboys shared video of the rookie safety on the tarmac to X, with the majority of responses all pointing toward the fact that yellow bottles of liquid tend to look like… you know.
@AJsmooth17 shared a gif alluding to that fact that you can see here.
@Ghostblood__ shared something similar.
@teddyfuse had to ask whether or not the jugs were truly filled with lemonade.
If you’ve ever been to the popular chicken joint, you’d understand why he was tasked with securing two gallon jugs of lemonade — and yes, it was lemonade — for the defense to enjoy on the flight north. It’s delicious, and you can bet there will be some sort of sponsorship opportunity in the rookie’s future if he has a good game after snacking on fast food.
