Duff’s return to touring follows the release of Luck…or Something, her first album in more than a decade. The album arrived at the start of 2026 and marked a major return to music after years in which Duff was also known for acting and other projects.
She told Rolling Stone that she did not want motherhood to become the main subject of her new music. Instead, she wanted to explore how becoming a mother changed her personally.
“It was really important to me to not make a record that was like, ‘I’m a mom, and I pick up my kids at school and pack lunches every day, and it’s so hard,'” Duff told Rolling Stone. “It was not at all what I was interested in talking about.”
Duff said she was more interested in exploring the personal changes she experienced and described making the album as “super healing.”
