Presley Gerber: Cindy Crawford’s Son Was Found in Rehab Bedroom After Suspected Overdose Death, Report

Presley Gerber was found in a bedroom at a rehab center in Santa Monica, California, where he died on Sept. 20 at age 27, according to a report. A source familiar with the investigation told TMZ that Gerber was found near the bed, rather than on it, inside the room on Sunday night.

The source did not provide any further details about the exact spot where his body was found. Sources also told the outlet that fentanyl has not been identified as a factor in the ongoing investigation into Gerber’s death. 911 audio obtained by Page Six suggests that Gerber was treated for a suspected “overdose” after suffering cardiac arrest.

Shocking New Details Emerge

However, authorities have yet to officially determine or announce his cause of death. The runway model reportedly checked into the rehab facility for treatment over the same weekend he died, the outlet reported. Reports also said he appeared to be under the influence of a substance when he arrived at the facility.

Gerber had allegedly been prescribed ketamine by a doctor, even though he was said to have a “regular problem” with the drug, TMZ reported.

The outlet also reported that Gerber had a 24/7 sober coach during the months before his death. The coach was described as being “very present” in his life during that period. However, it remains unclear whether the coach was at Resolutions Living’s $7.7 million luxury rehabilitation home when Gerber died.

The only son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, Presley had previously spoken openly about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health. He also faced public issues related to substance use, including a 2018 DUI that resulted in three years of probation.

In November last year, Gerber said he “had to step back and take care of my own mental health for a bit” while explaining his temporary absence from social media. He said he hoped to return “stronger, clearer, more intentional than ever” and use his experience to support others dealing with mental health issues.

Always Open About His Struggles

Gerber also used his social media presence to encourage a “Mental Health Mondays” initiative, hoping “to spark real conversations about the stuff most people hide.” However, a source told Page Six exclusively that Presley “seemed off” during the weeks before his death and “didn’t seem like himself.”

Along with his parents, Gerber is survived by his younger sister, Kaia Gerber, who has reportedly been deeply affected by the loss of her brother, to whom she was extremely close.

“Kaia and Presley were insanely close,” a source told the outlet, adding, “I don’t know how she’s going to go on without him.”

After Presley shared his decision to begin treatment in March, his parents and Kaia publicly applauded what they described as his “courage.” Crawford wrote, “You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!” while Kaia added, “That’s my brother I am so damn proud.”

Rande also wrote, “I’m so proud of you and your courage. Facing what’s hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much.”
