How Is Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs? Disgraced Rapper Rushed from NJ Federal Prison to Hospital After Suffering Head Injury

Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly rushed out of a federal prison in New Jersey over the weekend for treatment of a head injury, according to a report. Sources at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey said the 56-year-old rapper was taken out of the prison by ambulance. He was “conscious and speaking” when he returned to the facility before sunrise on Saturday.

Diddy’s spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, told The Daily Mail, “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out,” the statement added. No other details were shared.

Diddy’s Health Condition Unclear

The circumstances surrounding Diddy’s alleged injury remain unclear, according to TMZ. Diddy was handed a four-year-and-two-month prison sentence last year after a high-profile trial in which he was convicted on two prostitution-related charges.

The jury found him guilty of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution but cleared him of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges. His release date has changed several times since he was initially expected to leave prison in May 2028.

Last week, reports emerged that the disgraced rapper would have to serve additional time behind bars after his scheduled release was pushed back.

Combs is now due to be released on March 2, 2028, around six weeks later than his previous date of January 21, 2028, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records reviewed by The Daily Mail.

The latest change comes just over a week after reports surfaced that he had been returned to solitary confinement amid allegations that he had received lavish “VIP” treatment while in prison.

Diddy is still being held in solitary confinement, according to People, which first reported the change to his release date. In a statement to the publication, the Federal Bureau of Prisons said, “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for any incarcerated individual, including reasons for a change in release date.”

The revised release date comes amid reports that the rapper had allegedly been receiving preferential treatment behind bars.

Several Things Unclear

Diddy was reportedly moved back to solitary confinement following an NBC News report detailing claims that fellow inmates had been catering to his needs by preparing his meals, cleaning his cell and giving him massages.

The move was consistent with standard prison procedures while officials investigated the allegations, TMZ reported, citing sources. It remains unclear whether the investigation into Diddy is still underway or whether his continued confinement in solitary is part of standard prison protocol.

The rapper was also placed in solitary confinement in July after reportedly getting into a fight with another inmate.

An inmate cited in NBC News’ latest report alleged that Diddy has access to a cell phone through which he receives nude photos from a former girlfriend. The inmate also claimed the rapper has a jailbroken tablet that he has used to watch a critical documentary about him by his longtime rival, 50 Cent.

“There is no way we can independently verify those rumors,” Diddy’s representative, Juda S. Engelmayer, told The Daily Mail.

Four men who had been housed in the same prison unit as Diddy also spoke to the publication about his alleged privileged lifestyle during his years-long sentence.

According to the inmates, the music mogul has access to premium liquor allegedly smuggled in by guards, has bought an antidepressant from fellow prisoners, and relies on other inmates to hold his fan mail and phone.
