To all those people who don’t understand politics and don’t agree with the referendum, please understand, Danielle Smith has never hid the fact she’s a Libertarian. What that basically means is she believes the people should direct policy, not government. It’s why she asks what YOU want, not what the government wants. How many times have you questioned policies that governments enacted that they didn’t run on? Well, she gave you your chance to exactly do that by asking your opinion. If you don’t understand that’s on you, not her. I sincerely hope you exercised your right and voted your opinion regardless of what you think of a referendum.

Alberta, Canada win the day

Clearly, a 25% minority of Albertans wanted a complete separation from the control of the excessive unequal policy treatment from Ottawa. Not overwhelming but also not insignificant. More importantly a 60% majority of Albertans clearly want less of the excessive unequal policy treatment from Ottawa and more autonomy over the issues that fed the sovereignty movement. The message now being delivered to Ottawa is if the 60% is ignored the 25% will continue to grow.
