Report: Former Texas WR Isaiah Bond turns himself in on sexual assault warrant, says allegations are 'patently false'
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond turned himself in for an outstanding sexual assault warrant Thursday, according to the NFL Networks Ian Rapoport.
Collin County records show that Bond posted a $25,000 bond Thursday and was released from custody. Rapoport reported that Bond turned himself into the Frisco Police Department.
Bond released a statement on his X account saying, in part, “I kindly request that all reserve judgment until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”
Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false. I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation. Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review. I kindly request that all reserve judgement until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence

KXAN asked the Frisco Police Department for more information about the incident and will update this when we hear back.
Bond, a transfer from Alabama, caught 34 passes for 540 yards and five touchdowns for the Longhorns this past season. He vowed to break Xavier Worthy’s 40-yard dash record at the NFL scouting combine in March, but failed to do so. He ran the distance in 4.39 seconds, and while still impressive, it wasn’t near Worthy’s 2024 record of 4.21. He wasn’t even the fastest Longhorn that day, finishing behind wide receiver Matthew Golden and running back Jaydon Blue.

According to NFL.com, Bond could be a productive starter in the NFL. Draft analyst Lance Zierlein projects him as a third-round selection with a score of 6.30 out of a possible 8.0.
“Bond played decoy for the betterment of Texas’ offense but clearly has the talent to take on a more focused, productive role,” Zierlein said. “He’s well-suited to the NFL game and could become a very good pro within his first three seasons.”
