Who Is Jensen Huang’s Wife, Lori Huang? All About Nvidia CEO’s Marriage Amid Alleged ‘Romantic Relationship’ With Chinese Spy Alice Huang
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s decades-long marriage to wife Lori has come under scrutiny after a report alleged that he had a romantic relationship with Alice Huang, a Singapore-based executive at data center company Megaspeed. The report has brought renewed attention to Lori, whom Jensen met while studying electrical engineering at Oregon State University.
U.S. intelligence agencies reportedly suspected Alice, also known as Huang Le, of being recruited by China’s Ministry of State Security. According to the Financial Times, an intelligence memo outlining the alleged relationship was circulated among senior officials shortly before President Donald Trump’s Beijing summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The claims follow an earlier New York Times investigation that reported suspicions Alice had been recruited to gather information about Jensen and potentially influence his position on advanced AI chip exports to China. Alice is not related to the Nvidia CEO. Neither Jensen nor Lori has publicly commented, and the company declined to address the alleged relationship specifically, the FT reported.
Jensen Huang’s Marriage to Lori
Lori Huang, formerly Lori Mills, met her husband, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, while studying electrical engineering at Oregon State University in the early 1980s. The two were paired as laboratory partners, and their academic connection eventually developed into a relationship.
Jensen later described meeting Lori as the most significant event of his university years. “That was the most important, single event of OSU, and of my life,” he said during a talk at the university. Their Sunday study sessions eventually became dates, and Jensen recalled telling her he hoped to become a CEO by the age of 30.
He achieved that goal in 1993, when he co-founded Nvidia with Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem. Jensen graduated from Oregon State in 1984, while Lori graduated in 1985. The couple later married and have two children, Madison and Spencer.
While Jensen became a prominent figure in the technology industry, Lori has maintained a relatively private profile and is known largely for her philanthropic work.
Lori Huang’s Philanthropic Work and Family
Lori Huang serves as president of the Jen-Hsun and Lori Huang Foundation, which supports higher education, public health and STEM initiatives.
In October 2022, Jensen and Lori donated $50 million to the Oregon State University Foundation to establish the Jen-Hsun and Lori Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex. The center focuses on research in artificial intelligence, materials science, robotics and other scientific fields.
“We discovered our love for computer science and engineering at OSU. We hope this gift will help inspire future generations of students also to fall in love with technology and its capacity to change the world,” the couple said.
The foundation has also supported cancer research at Oregon State, the Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center at Stanford University and AI4ALL, which promotes diversity and inclusion in artificial intelligence.
The Allegations Involving Alice Huang
The controversy has intensified scrutiny of Alice Huang’s alleged links to China’s Ministry of State Security and Megaspeed’s dealings involving advanced Nvidia chips. A New York Times investigation reported that U.S. intelligence suspected Alice of being recruited to gather information about Jensen Huang and influence Nvidia’s position on chip exports to China.
Megaspeed, a Singapore-based data center company associated with Alice, rents computing capacity to customers, including Chinese businesses, raising concerns about indirect access to chips restricted from direct sale to China. The Financial Times subsequently reported the alleged romantic relationship, which has not been independently established publicly.
Nvidia’s Response and Congressional Scrutiny
Nvidia has defended Jensen Huang’s professional interactions with Alice. Company spokesman John Rizzo previously described the meetings as “not unusual,” saying they were part of the CEO’s regular engagement with customers. The company also maintained that regional cloud customers receive ordinary business information, not sensitive trade secrets or national security material, but declined to comment specifically on the Financial Times report.
Megaspeed said its current leadership takes the matter seriously and is committed to establishing the facts, while China’s embassy dismissed the claims as unfounded smears.
The issue has drawn congressional scrutiny, with three Republican House committee leaders — Brian Mast, John Moolenaar and Rick Crawford — requesting a closed-door briefing with Jensen on Nov. 18, 2026, about his interactions with Alice and safeguards against foreign intelligence threats. The developments have also renewed attention on his decades-long marriage to Lori Huang.
