Bryson DeChambeau’s Masters Collapse Has Fans Trashing the LIV Golfer

Bryson DeChambeau entered Sunday’s final round of the 89th Masters Tournament two shots behind Rory McIlroy. After just two holes, DeChambeau had not only erased the deficit, but taken the lead.

Flash forward a couple of hours, and DeChambeau has fallen into a tie for ninth place.

That is because his game has completely fallen off a cliff.

Since the third hole, DeChambeau has played Augusta National Golf Club at 5-over par. As he plummets down the Masters leaderboard, fans online have given the two-time major champion no relief.

“Bryson Dechambeau doesn’t have the dog in him that we all thought he had,” one X user wrote.

“Loving the DeChambeau meltdown!!,” another chimed in.

The memes are endless as the LIV Golf star has played awful golf on Sunday.

One particular user referenced current affairs in America.

“DeChambeau collapsing like he’s the stock market post-tariffs,” Mr. MT wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

The two-time U.S. Open champion looked to apply some pressure on McIlroy. He did just that early on, as it appeared Rory would be the one to falter.

But the Northern Irishman has steadied himself, hitting some incredible golf shots along the way to build a large lead.

Justin Rose bounced back after Saturday’s 75 and sits in solo second at 10-under. But Rory is 13-under playing the famous par-3 13th.

Last year, DeChambeau got the best of McIlroy at the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2. It appears as though things are falling the other way this time and fans are here for it.
