Donald Trump health update raises eyebrows

President Donald Trump‘s annual physical examination results have raised eyebrows after his physician mentioned his “frequent victories in golf events.”

The results of his physical, which were released on April 13, note: “President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and general physical function. His active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being.

“President Trump’s days include participation in multiple meetings, public appearances, press availability, and frequent victories in golf events. President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to executive the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”

The medical summary has drawn criticism online. Jonathan Reiner, professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University, wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “The inclusion of ‘frequent victories in golf events’ suggests that someone in the West Wing may have edited the report. Completely unnecessary and weakens the assessment.”

Kyle Cheney, a reporter at Politico, wrote on X: “President Trump is expected to need a follow-up colonoscopy in 2027… and his doctor’s totally objective analysis notes Trump’s ‘frequent victories in golf events.'”

Newsweek has contacted the White House for comment outside regular working hours.
