Bastrop County approves study to expand Highway 290 Toll Road


AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Monday, Bastrop County Commissioners approved an agreement with the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) to conduct a study regarding the expansion of the Highway 290 Toll Road.

The 290 Toll Road would extend from State Highway 130 Toll before Manor to State Highway 95 past Elgin, according to the agenda item report. Currently, the Highway 290 Toll Road ends just before reaching Manor.

According to the agreement made between Bastrop County Commissioners and the CTRMA, the county will not be responsible for providing any funding for the study and planning of the project.

No other details were released regarding how long the study will take to complete.
