Why Kelly Ripa Called Out Live Audience Member Mid-Interview With Christopher Meloni

Kelly Ripa knows how to stand her ground—even in a joking manner.

In the April 17 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the 54-year-old called out an audience member who interrupted guest Christopher Meloni as he gushed over his recent vacation with wife Sherman Williams.

“My wife and I went down to the Dominican Republic,” Christopher, 64, told Kelly and husband Mark Consuelous—who share Michael, 27, and Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 22—in the interview. “We were at this beautiful restaurant overlooking a jungle, without a light. There was no [light]. It’s not built up, no one’s there.”

But before the Law & Order: Organized Crime star—dad to Sophia Eva Pietra Meloni, 24, and Dante Amadeo Meloni, 21, with Sherman—could offer more details about the experience, a viewer in the audience interjected, “Where was it?” 

“I’m not telling you!” Christopher responded with a sly smile, to which Kelly playfully chimed in and reminded the audience member of her job duties, “We’ll handle the questions, ma’am!”
