Meteorologist Tommy House: I know Earth Day is coming up, and The Trail Conservancy is hosting a few different events, such as a cleanup. So, what are the times and dates for that event?
Julie Fisher: So, we are going to have a huge Earth Day celebration over two days. We’ll start it off on Friday, April 25, where we will host three different cleanups across the lake and on the trail. We’ll have some on-land options where people will be able to pick up trash, but then also out on the water. We’re excited to partner with the Rowing Dock, EPIC SUP, and then also clean up around the Festival Beach area.
House: What are some of the free events that you’re hosting?
Fisher: So, across the whole weekend, with the cleanup, the Earth Day Jubilee, which is really our family-friendly celebration, and the ‘BioBlitz’, all are free. People can sign up for those on our website: thetrailconservancy.org.
