Downton Abbey’s Laura Carmichael and Michael C. Fox Are Married
Downton Abbey has a real-life love story.
Indeed, costars Laura Carmichael and Michael C. Fox—who play Lady Edith and Andrew Parker, respectively—have shared they’ve since gotten married. In honor of the celebration of the series that is set to end with the film Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, Michael looked back fondly on the special things he gained since starring in the series.
“I owe a lot to this show,” Michael, 36, said on the Downton Abbey Celebrates The Grand Finale special airing on NBC Sept. 10. “I think so much of my life has been shaped around this show.”
Teasing the actor to share more, Lesley Nicol—who plays Mrs. Patmore—asked both Michael and Laura, “What if someone said you’re actually going to find your wife and have a child? Life-changing stuff.”
“I know,” Michael gushed, “It’s incredible.”
Both Michael and Laura, 39—who, according to Today.com, welcomed their first child together in 2021—did not to share further details about their wedding.
