The Jaguars took Hunter No. 2 overall, after trading with the Cleveland Browns to move up in the draft. Since joining the Jaguars, the rookie star has been used in both defensive and offensive situations.
So far in 2025, Hunter has compiled 182 yards receiving on 16 receptions. He also has 13 total tackles and two passes defended as a cornerback. He has given up a 58.3 completion percentage and an 81.2 passer rating to opposing quarterbacks when targeted.
There was some drama with Hunter regarding comments made by Jaguars head coach Liam Cohen, where he stated that the rookie did not practice on both offense and defense with Colorado. That fact was immediately disputed by Deion Sanders.
Regardless, Hunter continues to be used in both defensive and offensive situations for the Jaguars, and his life continues to get major life updates. The hope is that Jacksonville can continue to utilize the dual-threat rookie in new ways as the season continues.
