CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Canyon Independent School District reported that one of its buses was involved in a traffic accident Tuesday after school.
According to CISD officials, a Canyon ISD bus was involved in a vehicle incident on US 60 and FM 2590. Officials said a semi-truck ran a red light in the area and collided with the bus as it was turning north.
Students who were on the bus were from Spring Canyon Elementary and Canyon Intermediate School. One student was taken to the hospital, out of caution, for non-life-threatening injuries; the majority of students were unharmed said officials.
Students were released to their parents or taken home.
