Outer Banks Kills Off Major Character During Nail-Biting Series Finale

The Outer Banks finally became paradise on Earth after a major character met their maker.

J. Anthony Crane’s Chandler Groff—who brutally stabbed Jackson “JJ” Maybank (Rudy Pankow) to death at the end of season four—was officially defeated by Kiara “Kie” Carrera (Madison Bailey) during the Netflix drama’s epic series finale.

This season’s tenth and final episode saw the Pogues—including John B. Routledge (Chase Stokes), Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline) and Pope Heyward (Jonathan Daviss)—go after their treasure one final time after Groff stole the $400 million in gold bars that they’d managed to find in earlier seasons from Rose (Caroline Arapoglou) while posing as her boyfriend.

Though the swindler managed to get the gold onto a boat in the middle of a violent tropical storm that devastated Kildare Island, Kie wasn’t going to let him get far, especially after he drugged and attempted to throw her overboard during episode seven of the season.
